One of our team’s favorite benefits available to Marriott Rewards Gold and Platinum elite members is complimentary access to Executive Lounges. Located in most Marriott, JW Marriott and Renaissance properties, these lounges offer various services, ranging from private shower and changing facilities to meals, snacks and refreshments. Elite members can invite one guest into the lounge.

The Executive Lounges generally boast comfortable spaces in which to relax with international magazines and newspapers and high-speed Internet. An open floor plan kitchen with a variety of beverage options is open all day. A free buffet breakfast is served in the morning. This buffet is smaller than the normal buffet breakfast served in the hotel’s restaurant, but still provides a good variety of freshly made food and drinks of high quality. The lounges also offer afternoon tea, evening canapés and other snacks and refreshments throughout the day. Some lounges even offer dinner. Professional staff are on hand to assist with many needs, sometimes even including express check-in and check-out, organization of travel plans, restaurant bookings, and faxing and photocopying.

While each lounge across the world has its own unique aspects and ambiance, we do generally like their service, style and views. Having a private space at the hotel, where you can relax, enjoy complimentary breakfast, drinks and snacks with a guest is a fantastic benefit of Marriott Gold and Platinum status.

Opening times of each lounge varies, particularly over weekends. We recommend consulting the FlyerTalk Marriott Rewards Lounge Master Thread to find information about individual lounge opening times. If a lounge is closed on weekends, it means the lounge shuts down around noon on Friday and re-opens early Sunday evening. An open lounge means that the lounge is open all day from breakfast until dinner, from Friday through Sunday. ‘Key Accessible’ lounges means the lounge is closed, but still accessible with your room key to make us of the Internet terminals or to get bottled water or sodas.
